All patients will initially be seen for a 50-60 minute intake session.
For patients who already have a therapist, I offer conscientious medication management. However, even within the context of medication management, my approach is psychotherapeutically-informed, and thus our sessions might often involve elements of therapy with care being placed to not interfere with the work you are doing with your own therapist. Follow-up medication management visits will be 25-30 minutes and will typically occur at 1-3 month intervals.
I also offer therapy on a more regular basis. In this context, follow-up sessions be will 45 minutes on a weekly basis. Medications may be prescribed if appropriate and aligned with your goals. My approach is generally psychodynamically oriented, in which we explore how behaviors and emotions have been shaped by past and present events and relationships. However, depending on your goals, a more structured approach such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) might prove to be more suitable for your situation.
